Is your clogged toilet an emergency or can it wait a day?

Not every plumbing problem is an emergency- but this one might be. Plumbing problems can range from a flooded basement to a minor clog in the sink. Knowing when it is an emergency and when it can wait a day can make all the difference between long term damage.
A true plumbing emergency is when their is a chance of property damage, your health is at risk, or your safety is at risk. These emergencies can include pipes bursting, sewage backup, active gas leaks, loss of water completely, overflowing sinks or toilet or sump pump failure. These are situations that are threatening and can cause issues later. Call a plumber immediately to come fix the problem.
Problems that can wait a day range from minor inconveniences that causes an issue to your everyday routine, but you are still safe. These include slowly dripping faucets, running toilet, minor clogs, low water pressure, minor leaks, broken garbage disposals, and one clogged toilet. These can be fixed by a plumber in a day or two.Â
While all plumbing problems should be addressed quickly to avoid issues later on, we do not recommend you dragging your feet to get anything repaired. Delaying repairs can result in higher costs, safety hazards, compliance issues and so many more.Â
We prioritize our calls through multiple different categories. There is immediate which is an emergency and needs to be our priority since the safety of the client is at risk. There are customer membership that includes the loyalty we have with a customer. They trust our service and we value that loyalty.Â
Warranty work is another where we prioritize due to the product or service that was done and might have an issue later on. A routine visit is important to us lastly as we want to keep up the maintenance on all of our clients homes to avoid any later problems. As we compare it is important that we get to those of safety hazards first if it is necessary.
